This result states jacobi field equation for normal variations of minimal hypersurfaces: given (M,g) be a Riemannian manifold, and let F s: M be a smooth one-parameter family of immersions whose images are two-sided minimal hypersurfaces for s near 0, with F 0( )= ..... It is useful in the variational theory of minimal submanifolds, where variational identities, curvature estimates, and compactness arguments control geometric objects.
